arcane rising

Arcane Rising is the second album by The Story, the acclaimed duo comprising Martin Welham (leader of acid folk legends Forest) and his multi-instrumentalist son Tom. Written and recorded in the depths of the English countryside, like its predecessor Tail Spin (2005), it's a partly improvised and consistently melodic song cycle that's sure to appeal to fans of Devendra Banhart, Joanna Newsom and Espers as well as older names like Donovan, the Incredible String Band and COB.
