dust

One of the first American Prog Rock outfits, Dust was formed in New York in 1968. Originally a group of teenagers specialising in covering songs by The Who and Rolling Stones, Dust evolved into a more mature experimental band that released this highly collectable album in 1971. This exciting debut has swathes of heavy, psychedelic hard rock, including such tracks as 'Stone Woman' with shimmering slide guitar while 'Chasin' Ladies' has spooky vocals from singer Richie Wise. 'Loose Goose ' is a jam by Aaronson who is kept busy throughout, providing powerful bass lines as well as steel, Dobro and bottleneck guitar. Dust launched a new wave of U.S. hard rock and this fine album reminds us where it all began."
