Freedom, a better than average British hard rock band with psychedelic and blues leanings, formed around drummer Bobby Harrison (ex-Procol Harum) and with the help of guitarists Steve Jolly and Roger Saunders and singer/keyboardist Peter Dennis, were soon opening for the likes of Black Sabbath and Jethro Tull. They are also known for their work on the soundtrack of Italian filmmaker Dino De Laurentiis' Nero Su Bianco. Originally released in 1972, Is More Than A Word hails from the band's most mature period and is definitely worth rediscovery!
