Feathers had a long career, reinventing himself in the Seventies and the Eighties, and was the source of inspiration for a number of rockabilly revival bands. Who does not remember The Cramps' rendition of Can't Hardly Stand It or his collaboration with Tav Falco's Panther Burns? The glory Feathers deserves was epitomized in Quentin Tarantino's rediscovery of his classic tune That Certain Female for one of the epic scenes in the director's absolute masterpiece, Kill Bill.
