TRACK LISTINGRide A White Swan - New York City - I Love To Boogie - Telegram Sam - Solid Gold Easy Action - Children Of The Revolution - The Groover - Cosmic Dancer - Born To Boogie - Hot Love - Jeepster - Get It On - 20th Century Boy In the autumn of 1997 original T-Rex band members Mickey Finn and Paul Fenton were invited to appear at a specially organized show at Cambridge to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Marc Bolan's untimely death. When Mickey, Paul and Marc's son Rolan appeared on stage the audience went wild. A decision to reform T-Rex was inevitable. Rehearsals were arranged and four new members were carefully chosen to complete the line-up. Mickey Finn had been with Marc since Tyrannosaurus Rex and brought a 'bebop' approach to the music. Paul Fenton had joined the band as drummer after it became T-Rex in 1973. New band members Alan Silson had been in Smokie as well as writing some of their No.1 hits, Rob Benson - a life-long fan of T-Rex now had the job he dreamed of singing alongside his heroes. Dave Major a gifted musician and songwriter and Tony Allday (bass) completed the line-up. 'Renaissance' was recorded in late-2000 and features 13 of the tracks that the band play live at their very successful gigs all over Europe with a large amount of their time gigging being spent in Germany. Mickey Finn's T-Rex is not a tribute band - this is a six-piece band and has live a more solid band sound than the original.
