zomby woof: riding on a tear
Zomby Woof from Reutlingen, named after the piece by The Mothers of Invention, played the kind of bombastic symphonic rock that could be heard quite frequently in the 1970s. Their only LP, "Riding on a tear (Jupiter 25231 OT), on which even a mellotron can be heard, appeared in 1977 and sold quite well. A second LP, "No hero (1979), was completely recorded but never released. The CD, taken directly from the master tapes, also contains the two tracks from their only 7" single (these being short versions of album tracks) and another two so far unreleased songs, which are not to be found on "No hero. The 32-page colour booklet with lots of photographs and information surely leaves no questions on Zomby Woof unanswered. Whoever appreciates the early Genesis, Yes and Emerson, Lake & Palmer will also make friends with Zomby Woof.
