Compiled by Mike Alway, 'The World In Winter' is the long overdue Christmas album from the influential and highly regarded El Records. It was to be released almost 12 years ago but was cancelled due to the demise of the label. The release has now been updated and includes Japanese pop megastar Hideki Kaji as well as El stalwarts Marden Hill, Momus and the Would-Be-Goods
