LA ROSSA is a Progressive rock band from Toulouse, half composed by German musicians, and named after a VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR composition. This gives us an idea of the musical content of "A Fury Of Glass" (1983) ! Moreover, this album was definitely influenced by YES and GENTLE GIANT. Wolf HÖLLER's cut-up vocals, both tortured and full of feelings, evoke Peter HAMMILL. As for the music in itself, it is quite emphatic and structurally very complex, as well as created on irregular rhythms. Some frenetic piano parts obviously influenced by BARTOK, accentuate the fever, the urgency, the music's obvious romanticism as well as its tension and its dramatic intensity. The Musea reissue also includes three long and very good previously unreleased studio tracks, recorded before the album was issued. Not to be missed !
