Such diverse western musicians as Michael Nyman and Ry Cooder have tuned into the Okinawan sound of the Nenes. From the last outpost of the Japanese archipelago the Nenes combine local music with the diverse influences of Balinese gamelan, Brazilian samba among others. Joyful.
