VOODOO SMILE was formed by Alex RANKOVIC (Guitar) in 1998. After a few months and a few changes in the line-up, the band stabilized with the arrival of Dominique KULIBANOV (Bass) and Olivier GUYOT (Drums). In December 2000, the group recorded their first demo at the Liberty Rock Studio, with Rouslan TSAR (FUTURA). Some contacts were taken and led to their signature of a contract with Brennus. The label then sent them back to the studio in July 2001, for the release of their first album called "All Behind You". VOODOO SMILE performs a heavy-rock style with European and Amerian influences (Germany, Sweden...). The most frequently mentioned influences are VAN HALEN, PINK CREAM 69, IMPELLITTERI, DOKKEN, DANGER DANGER and even SKID ROW... There is also on this album an instrumental track ("Flying") and a cover of Billy IDOL ("Rebel Yell").
