A reissue of one of the most important live albums in the entire discography of Charles Mingus. This exhilarating performance was recorded at the French festival of Juan-Les-Pins on July 13th, 1960. For the occasion Mingus was accompanied by incredible musicians such as Booker Ervin on tenor sax, trumpeter Ted Curson, Dannie Richmond behind the drums and Eric Dolphy on alto and bass clarinet.
