Sun Ra was a most creative jazz composer, piano and synthesizer player, who mastered more than 1000 titles in his career.

With various line-ups in his arkestra (misspelled orchestra) he used to change the name, to reflect the differences in style. BAD AND BEAUTIFUL from SUN RA AND HIS ARKESTRA was recorded in 1961, but remained unreleased until 1972 and features JOHN GILLMOUR on tenor saxophone.
