Infamous Dylan road manager/sidekick Bob Neuwirth's debut album reads like a who's who of early '70s rock: Chris Hillman, Kris Kristofferson, Richie Furay, Dusty Springfield, Ian Matthews, Don Everly and Mama Cass Elliot all appear on Bob Neuwirth. The resulting 11 compositions contain Neuwirth's reinvention of "Mercedes Benz," which he originally penned with Janis Joplin, along with "Rock and Roll Time," co-written with Roger McGuinn.
