Despite the group's name, The Climax Chicago Blues Band was formed in the town of Stafford, England, in 1967. Though most blues oriented bands of the day basically had a heavy rock sound, the debut-LP by this unit (recorded for Parlophone, at Abbey Road at the end of '68) revealed a much more traditional approach. Here's a fine vinyl reissue of that tasteful, straight-up blues album.
