Sun Ra was a most creative jazz composer, piano and synthesizer player, who mastered more than 1000 titles in his career.

With various line-ups in his arkestra (misspelled orchestra) he used to change the name, to reflect the differences in style. COSMIC TONES FOR MENTAL THERAPY from SUN RA AND HIS MYTH SCIENCE ARKESTRA was recorded in 1963 and released on his own SATURN label in 1967. This album is considered to be a forerunner of psychedelia, which was still to come.
