Nico's third solo album perfects the uncompromising, visionary sound she began to develop on The Marble Index. Velvet Underground alum John Cale's arrangements set the dark, haunting tone of the album while Nico's harmonium and trademark delivery seal the melancholic atmosphere. Co-produced by Joe Boyd (Nick Drake, Sandy Denny, Incredible String Band), Desertshore is remastered directly from the original master tapes with liner notes by Dawson Prater and Dean Roberts.
