Earth & Fire might be most famous for the hit "Weekend"" that propelled them into stardom in 1979. Hailing from The Hague's blossoming '60s rock scene, Earth & Fire were already a well-known Prog group in The Netherlands before they broke through internationally. Their early psychedelic influences range from Led Zeppelin to Jefferson Airplane, with some touches of Focus's Prog prowess and Shocking Blue's sound, show on their debut album Earth & Fire (1970).
