A cool vinyl reissue. Heavy Load was a Swedish heavy metal outfit from Stockholm. The band is often hailed as the first Swedish heavy metal band and were known for their Viking themes. They were founded in 1976 (as a trio) by the Wahlquist brothers (guitar and vocals, and drums), together with bassist Michael Backlund. In 1978 Heavy Load released their debut-album 'Full Speed At High Level', with Dan Molen handeling bass duties in stead of Backlund.
