Jan Erik Vold and Jan Garbarek recorded the album "Hav" in September 1970. They were joined by bassist Arild Andersen, drummer Jon Christensen, guitarist Terje Rypdal, and Bobo Stenson on keyboards. Together, they created a formidable jazz album, one that commands unashamedly high prices on the second-hand market. The album consists of two tracks: two poems by Vold, "Det alle vet" from the poetry collection "Mor Godhjertas glade version. Ja" (1968) and "Dikt" from "Kykelipi" (1969), fused with long, slow instrumental sections.
