Alf Emil Eik is a Norwegian multi-instrumentalist and composer known for his fusion of progressive rock, jazz, and ambient elements. His 1979 album, Joy & Breath of Eternity, is a hidden gem in the world of progressive and experimental music. The album blends symphonic prog, jazz fusion, and electronic music with a strong spiritual and meditative atmosphere.

Eik played most of the instruments himself, including guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, and flute, crafting intricate compositions that feel both ethereal and deeply immersive.
