This release combines Atomic Rooster's fourth and fifth studio albums, Made in England (1972) and Nice 'n' Greasy (1973), into a remastered 2-CD set, supplemented with bonus tracks. This compilation highlights the band's exploration into funk and soul influences, marking a departure from their earlier progressive rock style.

Released in October 1972, Made in England signified a stylistic shift for Atomic Rooster, incorporating funk and soul elements. This transformation was largely influenced by the addition of vocalist Chris Farlowe. The album featured a new lineup, with Vincent Crane as the sole remaining member from previous iterations. Notably, the original UK and German LPs were packaged in denim sleeves, a unique presentation for the time. The single "Stand by Me" was released in the UK, and the album achieved a peak position of #60 on the Canadian charts.

Following in September 1973, Nice 'n' Greasy continued the band's foray into funk-infused rock. This album introduced guitarist John Goodsall (credited as Johnny Mandala) and maintained the presence of Farlowe and Crane. Despite its musical experimentation, the album did not chart, leading to the band's departure from Dawn Records and a subsequent hiatus until 1980.

The bonus tracks comprise BBC Radio sessions and live performances, offering listeners a broader perspective on the band's work during this era
