Dutch Prog Rockers Alquin delivered their first album Marks in 1972. Marks contains eight songs that prove the musical force of this young group who at the time were still in their University attending days. However influences of Pink Floyd and Roxy Music are apparent, Alquin succeeded in shaping their own style. Sometimes Jazzy, there are even Folk influences on this varied album. Every instrument is breezily in service of the arrangement, avoiding to bore the listener with endless soloing. Highly recommended record."
