mojo rhythms & midnight blues live shows 1965-1966

This collection of Spencer Davis Group recordings (all featuring the young Stevie Winwood) were culled from three live performances of the band from 1965 to 1966. The first performance was recorded at London's Marquee Club, in Spring '65, while the other two, both from 1966 (when the band had began to get more international attention due to their hit single "Keep On Running") were recorded in Germany and Finland during TV studio performances for local pop music shows. The Spencer Davis Group heard on these recordings is edgier than many of their official studio releases and closer to the band's electrifying live sound.
