Ogdens’ Nut Gone Flake, recorded in late 1967 and early 1968, remains by far the Small Faces’ best-known—and most successful—album.

Alongside hit singles “Lazy Sunday” and “Afterglow,” and enduring favourites like “Rollin’ Over” and “Song of a Baker,” the record adds a conceptual edge through the tale of “Happiness Stan,” brought to life with narration from Stanley Unwin.

A UK chart-topper for six consecutive weeks, this No. 1 album stands as the band’s crowning achievement. Yet not long after its release, the Small Faces were history—splintering and evolving into the Faces and Humble Pie.

This new limited-edition coloured vinyl has been cut at half-speed by Barry Grint at Air Studios to match the (now sold-out) 2018 box set edition, delivering improved dynamics, greater definition and accuracy, extended low-end depth, and a smoother high-frequency response.

The 2-CD edition includes the original LP’s mono mix, plus a second disc of rarities and alternate versions, first issued in 2012.
