savage sons of ya ho wa

Ya Ho Wa 13 were the psychedelic musical collective connected to the Source Family commune in Los Angeles and led spiritually by Father Yod. Released in 1974, Savage Sons of Ya Ho Wa is one of their more song-oriented records compared to some of the group's freer improvisational albums, blending acid rock, communal vocals, hypnotic repetition and cosmic folk textures. Unlike some earlier recordings, Father Yod is less central, giving more room to the band itself.
