Ramases (born Martin Raphael) was a central heating salesman before he was allegedly visited by the spirit of the Egyptian pharoah Ramses, who informed Raphael, that he was his reincarnation and gave him the secret of the universe. Ramases' music is best described as spiritual, psychedelic space-folk. The material for his first album, Space Hymn, was written by the future members of 10cc (Creame, Godley, Gouldman and Stewart) who also played on it. It was originally released in 1971.
