LP reissue, gatefold, with insert

Spot’s self-titled album is a rare Swiss psychedelic rock recording from 1971, built around guitar-led songs, bluesy movement and a loose underground feel. The record has the directness of early hard rock, but it also carries a more open, drifting psych character, with acoustic passages and melodic turns giving the heavier moments more space.

Tracks such as By The Way, Portobello, In My Dreams and Travelling Man show the band working in the same broad territory as early-70s European heavy psych and progressive blues rock, but with a rawer and more private atmosphere. This Ohrwaschl vinyl reissue was made from the original master tapes and adds two bonus tracks: Who Are You and Sabre Dance.
