Following the release of FELT’s first five albums in February, the band’s reissue campaign continues with the second half of their discography.

During the ‘80s Felt recorded ten albums and ten singles for the Cherry Red and Creation labels. This gorgeously-produced series explores the work of one of the greatest indie groups in recent memory.

These vinyl records, unavailable for many years, have been remastered and revisited by Lawrence, and he has fashioned the ultimate definitive collections. They are available in a deluxe gatefold sleeve.

Released in 1988, it is the eighth studio album by the group and came out in the same year as "The Pictorial Jackson Review." Felt, under the direction of Lawrence, the band's frontman, is known for their distinctive blend of indie pop characterized by its jangly guitars and poetic lyrics.

"Train Above the City" is unique in the Felt discography as it consists entirely of instrumental tracks. The album features a blend of jazz and lounge music influences, showcasing a different side of Felt's musical abilities. The tracks are primarily piano and percussion-driven, providing a mellow and atmospheric listening experience. This album further exemplifies Felt's willingness to experiment with different musical styles and forms, distancing itself from the conventional indie pop for which they were known. Like much of Felt's work, "Train Above the City" was more of a cult favorite rather than a commercial hit, appreciated for its artistic qualities and the mood it creates.
