Novalis were founded in 1971 and began singing in German on their second LP, "Novalis," in 1975. Only their debut album, "Banished Bridge" (1973), was in English. In addition to romanticized lyrics, they also used classical works. "Impressionen" from the album "Novalis," for example, is an interesting adaptation of Anton Bruckner's 5th Symphony. "Vielleicht Bist Du Ein Clown" was released in 1978 on the Brain label, with Achim Reichel producing the album. It is the band's fifth LP. The cover was designed by Hipgnosis (Storm Thorgerson, Aubrey Powell), who at the time were also responsible for all the covers of Pink Floyd and the Alan Parsons Project. On this album, Novalis once again managed to create a sound in which all the instruments work alongside each other in a harmonious balance. Timeless music that still works today. The re-release comes as vinyl in a limited edition of 500 copies in colored vinyl.
